Providing a wide range of specialized information and resources on Sri Lanka’s Tea Sector, the Library of the Sri Lanka Tea Board is categorized as a special library responsible for providing information to achieve the broader goals of the SLTB as well as the industry.
The Library acts as the repository for Sri Lanka Tea Board publications and features a plethora of books and publications including rare books on the history of Ceylon Tea from the colonial era.
In addition to this, the Library also features journals, local and international standards on tea, statistics, SLTB’s publications, publications of the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka as well as newspaper cuttings relevant to the Tea sector and Government publications (Acts, Regulations and Circulars on tea).
Open from 8.30 -16.15 on week days, the Library is ready to serve Employees attached to the Sri Lanka Tea Board, Individuals who engage in the Tea industry in Sri Lanka, Academics/Researchers, University Students (undergraduates and postgraduates) and the General Public.
