Participation of Sri Lanka at the 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair 2025 Promotion of Ceylon Tea – July 6–10, 2025 | Lanzhou City, Gansu Province
The Tea Promotion Unit of the Sri Lanka Embassy (SLEMB-TPU), successfully organized and facilitated Sri Lanka’s participation at the 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair held from July 6th to 10th, 2025, in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. This high-profile regional event is one of the most prominent platforms in Northwest China, attracting thousands of exhibitors and buyers from across China and beyond.
As part of the promotional campaign for Ceylon Tea, SLEMB-TPU negotiated and secured a fully constructed 45 m² free pavilion at the fair, which enabled an impactful presentation of the Ceylon Tea brand without incurring booth rental costs. The pavilion prominently featured the “Ceylon Tea – Symbol of Quality” logo and was designed to reflect the heritage, premium quality, and health benefits of Ceylon Tea.
Following Sri Lankan tea exporting companies’ agents in China participated under the Ceylon Tea umbrella at the event, showcasing a wide range of black, green, and flavored teas. These included innovative products such as gift teas, and artisanal blends tailored to meet evolving Chinese consumer preferences.

This promotional presence created significant opportunities for brand positioning, direct consumer engagement, and B2B networking in Northwest China – a region with rising demand for natural, healthy imports. Visitors to the booth were educated on the unique taste profile and authenticity of Ceylon Tea through tastings and brochures in Mandarin, while prospective buyers were provided with trade information and supplier contacts.
