Demonstration on tea drinking and tasting of seven Ceylon regional teas and Japanese traditional tea making and tasting event were held on 18 August, 2023 at Talawakelle premises of The Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka. Tea Promotion Division of the Sri Lanka Tea Board and the Community Development Unit of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya respectively collaborated with the TRISL in organizing the event. Over 100 participation of Regional Plantation Company Estates in Up-country and Uva region whose products are destinated to Japan, small and medium-scale tea producers of green and artisanal tea experienced the demonstrations conducted by the Japanese team and SLTB.
