Ceylon Tea Promotional Program conducted by the Tea Promotion Unit of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing (SLEMB-TPU). The event was strategically organized in a high-footfall, metropolitan location within Beijing City, targeting a diverse consumer base with the aim of enhancing brand visibility and consumer engagement for Ceylon Tea in the Chinese market.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing (SLEMB) participated in the CISB International Festival 2025, a flagship multicultural event hosted annually by the Canadian International School of Beijing. This event brings together international students from diplomatic and expatriate families, as well as Chinese nationals, celebrating cultural diversity through food, beverages, music, and performances.
SLEMB was invited to take part in this prestigious event free of charge and used the opportunity to promote Ceylon Tea, paired with Sri Lankan biscuits, to a wide audience comprising multiple nationalities. The Embassy’s booth attracted significant attention and appreciation, offering visitors a flavorful introduction to Sri Lanka’s world-renowned tea culture.
The event provided valuable exposure for Ceylon Tea in the Chinese market, particularly among an international community based in Beijing. With no financial cost incurred for participation, this engagement delivered high promotional value for Sri Lanka’s tea industry, aligning with ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s image and exports abroad.
