The 19th Annual Conference of the International Selfless Tea Ceremony 2025 was successfully held from 16th to 17th April in Langfang City, Hebei Province, China. The event was organized by the International Selfless Tea Committee, a Chinese non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting global tea culture. This annual conference is held in different locations across China, bringing together key stakeholders in the tea industry to celebrate and share the values of selfless tea traditions.

This year’s conference welcomed tea representatives from various tea-producing nations including China, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Taiwan, offering a unique multicultural platform for tea diplomacy and engagement.

It serves as a vital region for traditional arts and agriculture, including tea culture, and plays a prominent role in China’s cultural and economic landscape. Importantly, all promotional activities were facilitated at no cost to the Sri Lankan side, making this a highly strategic and cost-effective promotional initiative.
Free Promotional Opportunities for Ceylon Tea Through the Embassy’s coordination and engagement, valuable promotional opportunities for Ceylon Tea were successfully negotiated at no cost to Sri Lanka. These included:

1. A dedicated display space to showcase Ceylon Tea products throughout the event.
2. Serving of Ceylon Tea to all attendees, allowing direct exposure to the product.
3. Participation in an interactive gathering with tea masters and professionals from other producing countries.
4. A speech delivered at the opening ceremony by a representative of the Embassy, highlighting Sri Lanka–China relations and the excellence of Ceylon Tea.

These opportunities significantly enhanced the visibility of Ceylon Tea in a culturally rich and professionally relevant environment, without incurring any promotional expenses.
